Speculative Architecture
Speculative Architecture
Kacper Nosarzewski of 4CF was a panellist and led, together with Natalia Gnoinska, president of the 8 Marca Foundation, a speculative architecture workshop during the Heritage Innovators Day conference. The workshop was based on the ideas of the New European Bauhaus and scenarios for the future of Polish cities, which we at 4CF The Futures Literacy Company developed a few years ago for Saint-Gobain.
Guests at the workshop, including architecture students at the Rzeszów University of Technology, created architectural concepts and programmes for selected Polish monuments in the future (2040). It was a pleasure to observe how the participants were able to combine architectural sensitivity and competence with empathy for future generations. In the workshop we used the CLA method and prototyping. We conducted the first such workshop in 2013 in Paris, with well-known architects and urban planners.
