Overestimating the Short Term
Overestimating the Short Term
Strategic Foresight at the ICAN Institute Business Breakfast
We tend to overestimate the changes that might happen in a moment, while underestimating those that, in the long run, could change the future of the entire company. This is one of the problems highlighted by Kacper Nosarzewski, Partner at 4CF The Futures Literacy Company. 4CF’s team has conducted over 100 foresight projects, and is eager to share this expertise with you.
How can you use these experiences in your own company? How do you prepare a strategy for various scenarios when the economic and geopolitical environment is becoming increasingly complex?
On September 22, 2026, we invite you to a business breakfast at the ICAN Institute headquarters in Warsaw. We will discuss the challenges facing leaders with the following experts:
- Kacper Nosarzewski will explain how to use foresight to spot signals of change and prepare the company for various possible futures.
- Dr. Witold Jankowski will show when experience becomes a trap and how to grow a company without a proportional increase in chaos and costs.
- Paula Sobieszek will explain how to link AI transformation with company strategy and business value.
- Andrzej Jacaszek, DBA will look at how macroeconomic and geopolitical changes affect the decisions of managers.
There will also be time for questions, discussions with experts, and sharing experiences with other leaders. This is a closed-formula meeting dedicated to C-level executives. Please note that the number of places is limited.
