New Educational Materials on the Bioeconomy
A new, ready-to-use report dedicated to educational needs and gaps in the bioeconomy is now available on the Boost4Bioeast knowledge platform. This provides a solid foundation of knowledge for everyone committed to developing key competencies for the green transition in Central and Eastern Europe.
The development of a sustainable bioeconomy will not happen without well-prepared specialists. Meanwhile, in the BIOEAST region, we still face a shortage of qualified personnel and fragmented educational pathways. There is a lack of educational offerings in future-oriented areas such as engineering, management and business, and waste management and utilization. Furthermore, there is a shortage of lifelong learning initiatives and vocational training programs in this field.
Differences between countries remain significant. This report serves as a starting point for further national-level analysis and for creating recommendations that will genuinely strengthen bioeconomy education across the region.
