The strategic necessity of this approach is being validated at the highest levels of allied command in real time. This week, 4CF The Futures Literacy Company Foresight Specialist Marcin Wierzbowski participated in the NATO Allied Foresight Conference (AFC) 2026 in Berlin.
Convening under the theme “From Today to the Fight of Tomorrow,” AFC26 is designed to close the critical gap between Flag and General Officers responsible for alliance-level decisions and the deep methodological research that should be shaping their assumptions.
When the fight of tomorrow arrives, it will not pause for the institutions of today to catch up. The only acceptable answer is to have already been thinking there. Attending the NATO Allied Foresight Conference 2026 is a great opportunity to gain insights into the current state of the organization and the preparedness of its member states for future threats.
