Future of the Bioeconomy in the CEE Region
4CF at the BioEast Conference
Last week, Michał Nadziak and Marcin Wierzbowski participated in the BioEast conference of the BIOEAST & BOOST4BIOEAST initiative, facilitating workshops focused on the future of the bioeconomy in the CEE region.
During the first workshop, participants developed “moonshot” ideas. This work built upon action plans previously prepared by the partner countries. Because these plans clearly identified each country’s “haves” and “needs,” the organizers could form the right international teams to brainstorm these ambitious concepts.
For the second workshop, Michał and Marcin helped our project partner, the ÖMKi – Hungarian Research Institute of Organic Agriculture, run a role-playing session. This allowed participants to test the real-world viability of their action plans. By taking on the roles of decision-makers, policymakers, local authorities, business representatives, researchers, and ordinary citizens, they experienced a hands-on simulation of putting these plans into practice.
