Let’s have a brief look at brands using foresight. Today, it’s AUDI AG.
Many large and forward-thinking companies have established capacities specialising in strategic foresight, scenario planning, and trend analysis. These teams or individuals are responsible for identifying emerging trends, potential disruptors, and long-term opportunities and threats, actively contributing to the corporate long-term strategies. While it’s challenging to provide an exhaustive list, we present a series of examples of companies known for their investment in foresight activities helping them to achieve long term goals and desired futures.
For Audi, the concept of mobility is about much more than just travelling from A to B. Audi wants to make a contribution to ensuring that new technological possibilities can be used responsibly. Major areas of future oriented work at Audi innovation and research lie in technologies of the future such as autonomous driving, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. The company has also initiated the cross-industry platform Foresight Academy, joined today by multiple top German brands. The platform’s initiator – Dr. Rupert Hofmann works for Audi Business Innovation.
