4CF was pleased to participate in the PTEZ Cogeneration Congress in Kazimierz. The panels provided a lot of interesting data and statements about the energy transition.
From the PTEZ paper on the costs of transformation, presented by PGE Energia Ciepła S.A., it was clear that it is possible to transform, but it will be expensive. Dr Przemysław Ligenza, President of NFOŚIGW, also had an interesting, though perhaps not entirely clear, presentation about mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
Frederic Faroche of Veolia Poland on the panel talked about how greening of district heating is already possible and some Veolia systems have reached 30% CO2 neutral production and will reach 55% by 2030 on a group scale.
