Agroecology Economically Attractive

Agroecology Economically Attractive

BIOEAST Science Policy Dialogue

How can we make agroecology not just environmentally sustainable, but economically thriving? Join us for an online Science Policy Dialogue titled “Making agroecology practices economically attractive: Incentives, barriers, and market-development.”

Hosted by the Agroecology Thematic Working Group of the BIOEAST Initiative (within the framework of the BIOEAST & BOOST4BIOEAST project), this session will dive into the practical realities of transitioning to sustainable farming in the BIOEAST macro-region.

We will be exploring the future of the agricultural ecosystem, focusing on:

  • Innovative business models: Market-based solutions tailored for farmers.
  • Overcoming barriers: Tackling the economic, regulatory, and market hurdles that limit agroecological adoption.
  • Policy and people: The role of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and shifting consumer behaviors in supporting this transition.

If you are a policymaker, researcher, expert, or value chain actor interested in shaping the enabling conditions for organic and agroecological farming, this conversation is for you. International stakeholders are also highly welcome. Let’s build the market conditions for a resilient agricultural transition together.
