1. Say goodbye to linear surveys and demotivating questionnaires

Forget clunky, step-by-step Delphi surveys or huge questionnaires that can intimidate participants and reduce engagement!  4CF HalnyX 2.0 greets you with a dynamic dashboard of question tiles. Think of it as your mission control for this real-time Delphi experience.

Freedom first: Unlike platforms that force you through questions one by one, we give you the freedom to jump between topics whenever inspiration strikes. Got a sudden thought about question #7 while you’re on #2? Just click! And of course, since this is a real-time delphi, there’s no waiting for the next “round” – the conversation flows continuously.

No intimidation station: That daunting wall of boxes to tick? Gone! Our tile-based approach presents your Delphi in bite-sized chunks, making it feel much less overwhelming and way more approachable – even on your phone while you’re on the go.

2. See what matters, instantly: Your intelligent dashboard – updated live!

This isn’t just a pretty interface; it’s smart and reacts in real time. Our tile dashboard keeps you in the know without needing progress bars or extra clicks:

Progress at a glance: You can instantly see which questions you’ve tackled. No wondering if you missed something.

Your personal radar (live indicators): Our smart and friendly indicators live right on the tiles, updating dynamically! At a glance, you can spot:

    • Questions where your view is notably distinct from the group’s overall responses – This is your chance to shine! Perhaps you have a unique insight or see something others haven’t. Revisiting these questions allows you to articulate your perspective and potentially broaden the group’s understanding.
    • Questions where the group shows significant disagreement – These are fertile grounds for discussion and where your arguments might be most needed to ignite focused discussion and identify key areas requiring deeper analysis to reach a more robust understanding. High disagreement can also highlight areas where further exploration and diverse perspectives are crucial. For instance, in clinical trials, this can highlight critical differences in opinion on treatment efficacy or safety.
    • Questions with new comments since your last visit – Stay in the loop! This ensures you never miss out on the latest discussions as they unfold, allowing you to respond to new arguments and contribute to the ongoing dialogue.

Focus your energy (smart filtering & sorting): With built-in filtering and sorting options, you can zero in on the questions that matter most to you at that moment. Want to see all the high-disagreement questions first? Just a click away. This intuitive system makes navigating complex Delphi discussions a breeze.

3. Assessing with insight: A Quandel revolution

When you dive into a specific question (or “thesis”), the way you provide your assessment in Quandles is also a game-changer (never heard of Quandels? Click here!)

Group wisdom, beautifully integrated (live distribution): Forget squinting at separate, clunky charts and numbers! For each Quandel assessment (like rating probability or impact), we present the group’s distribution right there with the question, updating in real time as others contribute. Whether it’s a compact histogram directly beneath the text or subtly overlaid on a slider, you see exactly where everyone else stands without leaving your focus. It’s intuitive, saves space, and makes understanding the collective view effortless as it evolves.

4. Your personal insight navigator: Indicators in action

Just like on the main dashboard, our smart indicators follow you into the question view, providing live feedback:

Effortless focus: You’ll still see those visual cues for notable individuality, significant group disagreement, and new comments, right where you need them, updating as the Delphi progresses. For instance

    • if your assessment on a particular Quandel stands out from the group’s, a gentle indicator will let you know, prompting you to perhaps elaborate on your reasoning or consider if you’ve spotted a nuance others haven’t
    • if the group exhibits significant disagreement on a specific aspect, an indicator will highlight this, suggesting that this might be an area where your expertise and arguments could be particularly valuable in fostering a deeper understanding and moving towards a more informed perspective.
    • …and of course, a clear visual cue will always inform you of any new comments that have been added since you last engaged with that question, ensuring you never miss a beat in the ongoing discussion and can contribute to the evolving insights.

This means you can quickly identify areas where your perspective stands out or where the group is actively discussing different ideas, allowing you to contribute most effectively in this live environment. It’s like having a built-in guide for navigating the collective intelligence as it emerges.

5. Collective reasoning: Effortlessly finding and understanding key justifications

Understanding the reasons behind assessments is crucial in a good Delphi, especially when it’s happening in real time. That’s why our comment system is designed for true insight:

Comment hotspots: Notice those comment bubbles near the assessment options? The bigger the bubble, the more comments that assessment received. It’s a visual shortcut to where the discussion is actively unfolding.

Laser-focused insights (dynamic filtering): Click on a comment bubble, and BAM! The comment feed instantly filters to show you only the justifications from people who chose that specific assessment (or a range you select). Want to know why people are currently rating the impact as “very high”? Just click and see their reasoning as they contribute, gaining immediate insight into their perspectives.

Seek inspiration from different views (sorting by “opposing viewpoints”): Instantly see comments from those whose assessments differ most from yours, in the current moment. It’s a fantastic way to challenge your own thinking and uncover new insights as they are being shared.

6. The evolution of argument: Seeing opinions change

4CF HalnyX 2.0 goes a step further, offering a unique window into how opinions evolve throughout the Delphi process. This is where we move beyond simply capturing a snapshot of expert views and delve into the dynamic shifts in their thinking.

Arguments that evolve (continuous discussion): Our comment system isn’t just a static list. Experts can easily see arguments from different viewpoints (thanks to our smart filtering and sorting), and they can engage in real discussions by commenting on other comments and rating them.

Witness the shift: The assessment change indicator. This is a 4CF HalnyX 2.0 exclusive! Next to each comment, you will see an indicator showing if the user has changed their assessment since they posted that comment. This unparalleled visibility into the evolution of thought provides invaluable insights for understanding how expert opinions are shaped and refined throughout the Delphi process.

Free-flowing discussion (no overwriting): Because we track assessment changes separately from the original comments, experts can freely discuss, ask clarifying questions, and build upon each other’s reasoning without overwriting valuable context. This fosters a much richer and more dynamic exchange of ideas, all happening in the flow of the Delphi.

4CF HalnyX 2.0: It’s not just a survey, it’s a live collective intelligence platform.

We’ve built 4CF HalnyX 2.0 to be more than just a way to collect expert opinions. It’s a platform where collective intelligence truly comes alive, in real time. By focusing on intuitive design, real-time interaction, and the ability to deeply engage with diverse perspectives as they emerge, we’ve created a Delphi experience that is:

Engaging and fun: Experts actually want to participate in this dynamic environment.

Efficient and focused: Time is valuable – our live indicators and smart features help everyone focus on what truly matters, right now.

Insightful and understanding-driven: We go beyond surface-level consensus to foster a deeper, real-time understanding of different viewpoints.

Powerful for both research and business: Whether you’re a researcher pursuing groundbreaking discoveries, a corporate strategist forging resilient strategies, or a clinical trial expert ensuring the highest standards of evidence-based evaluation, 4CF HalnyX 2.0 provides the tools you need to harness the power of true collective intelligence, live and direct.

Quandel

Ever heard of a Quandel? If you’re diving into Delphi surveys with us, you’re about to meet them – and they’re kind of a big deal!

A Quandel is, in essence, a single, focused assessment within a Delphi question or thesis. Think of it as the quantum of Delphi knowledge! Inspired by the concept of quanta in physics – the smallest, indivisible units of energy – a Quandel represents the minimum, discrete amount of expert judgment on a specific aspect. A single thesis might be assessed across multiple Quandels, each focusing on a different dimension like probability and impact.

EXAMPLE

A Quandel is a single, focused assessment within a Delphi question or thesis. Here’s an example to illustrate:

Thesis: Teleportation will be a mainstream mode of travel before 2040.

Quandels (individual assessments):

1) Probability assessment (a slider ranging from 0% to 100%, where the participant indicates their estimated probability)

2) Desirability assessment (a single choice Likert scale with options like “Highly undesirable”, “Mostly undesirable”, etc.)

In this example, the question is broken down into two separate “Quandels,” each requiring a specific type of assessment from the participant and each with its own discussion thread for assessment justification.

“Quandel” isn’t just a fancy word; it’s a tried-and-true concept coined at 4CF and used extensively for years. It’s essential because it helps us accurately describe the true scale of a Delphi survey. You could have two Delphi surveys, both with ten main theses, but one with only one Quandel per thesis, and another with five! They’re entirely different beasts. Referring to the number of Quandels gives you a much clearer, more precise measure of a Delphi’s scope and analytical power.

But the usefulness of Quandels doesn’t stop there! Because we break down each thesis into these individual assessment units, we can also get really insightful data on participation levels. For instance, we can easily measure the average (or median, or min and max) number of assessments completed per Quandel. This gives us a fantastic view of how engaged our experts are and how the Delphi process is progressing. Are people thoroughly evaluating each aspect, or are some Quandels getting less attention? This kind of information is incredibly valuable for understanding the health and progress of your Delphi.

So, when we talk about the size and depth of a Delphi survey, remember that Quandels are the key to understanding the real depth and detail within.
