“Poland needs to think with foresight”

Poland must become a wise state. This is the key takeaway from the opinion of Karol Wasilewski from 4CF The Futures Literacy Company, published by Onet News following the Urban and Regional Policy Congress in Kraków. This crucial event, held on October 7-8, 2023, brought together numerous experts who discussed the future of Poland, Europe, and the world looking towards 2050.

Why is strategic wisdom so important? As Wasilewski highlights, Poland, being a middle-ranking country in the global order, faces a unique challenge. On one hand, it is a valued ally, but on the other, it is vulnerable to the turbulence caused by rapid changes in global politics and economics. To navigate this volatile reality, Poland must think strategically and with foresight.

Being a wise state means the ability to plan for the future, respond flexibly to changes, manage resources efficiently, and make decisions based on process-driven insights rather than short-term, reactive innovations. This approach will ensure long-term stability and growth, which are essential for Poland to remain a key player on the global stage.

A lack of strategic thinking risks Poland being sidelined and reacting only to short-term developments. Now is the time to take action that will secure Poland’s important role in the future.

We must plan our future ourselves!
