Kacper Nosarzewski of 4CF The Futures Literacy Company was a panellist in a session on the future of food systems and agriculture at the PRECOP 28 climate conference, held on 5-6 October in Katowice, Poland.
The session will focus on the following topics:
- Transformation of food systems in the EU in the face of climate change,
- Transformation of agriculture towards sustainable agriculture – assessment of changes made, next steps,
- The farmer and the sustainable food system – opportunities and challenges,
- Financial incentives for sustainable agriculture,
- New technologies in the agri-food sector,
- Reducing emissions in the food system,
- Biodiversity conservation, and a productive food system,
- Business and UN agencies vis-à-vis the emerging new sustainable food system.
The two-day conference preceded and prepares for the United Arab Emirates Climate Summit (COP 28). PRECOP 28 was two days of talks and meetings, 30 inspiring debates with over 150 speakers. In the prestigious group of Polish and EU politicians, people from the economy, representatives of institutions and organisations, the most relevant topics were discussed in their current context – including those concerning the energy transition, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable financing, climate education, green cities, opportunities and challenges for business, ESG and sustainable agriculture.
