4CF at the IDEALIST Learning Expedition 5

Marcin Wierzbowski had the privilege of representing 4CF The Futures Literacy Company as the foresight facilitator at the recent IDEALIST Learning Expedition 5.

Hosted by ALBATROS Gie, this networking event brought together innovative SMEs from across Europe to explore the next frontier of advanced materials and manufacturing.

On Day 1, Marcin led the participants through a dynamic strategic foresight workshop at JVMA, equipping European SME leaders with the futures literacy tools needed to navigate, anticipate, and shape the industry’s evolving landscape. The day also featured high-level technical conferences focusing on advanced materials and processes.

On Day 2, R&D partners opened their facilities to visitors, showcasing highly impressive, complex components with a spotlight on cutting-edge additive manufacturing processes like DED-arc and AFP.

A massive thank you to ALBATROS for putting together such a vital event, and to the expert hosts who shared invaluable insights during the site visits: Mael Moret and Marc Moret (LOIRETECH), Julie Vaudour (DAHER Shap’In), Coline Fiquet and Julio-Cesar De Luca, PhD (IRT Jules Verne), and Herve Riou (Airbus Atlantic Nantes). Congratulations also to the industrial speakers: Virginie Duprez, Christophe Roua, Samuel Requile, Cedric Loubat, Hubert Gleba, and Alessandro Liani.

It was a pleasure for 4CF to collaborate with such a forward-thinking group of partners: CIMES, COMET – Cluster della Metalmeccanica del FVG, Association of Industrial Automation of Ukraine / APPAU, DITECFER Distretto per le Tecnologie Ferroviarie, l’Alta Velocità e la Sicurezza delle Reti S.c.ar.l, Clúster de Automoción y Movilidad de Aragón, Śląski Klaster Lotniczy, Czech Aerospace, Chemie-Cluster Bayern GmbH, Geokompetenzzentrum Freiberg e.V., and POLYMERIS.
